Terry Thigpin was born and raised in the Brazos Valley, and he is proud to still call it home. After graduating from Bryan High School in 1975, he joined the College Station Fire Department and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant until he retired in 1997. Terry married his high school sweetheart, Carrie Smith, in 1979. They raised three fine sons who each graduated from Texas A & M. Terry and Carrie are most proud of their seven beautiful grandchildren.
Terry accepted a real estate position at WTA in College Station, where he received his Real Estate license in 1998, and became a Real Estate Broker in 2001. In 2005, he moved to Century 21, Beal, in College Station as the Property Manager, working for Mike Beal's property management business. He worked for Mike Beal until 2020, when Terry & Carrie were able to purchase Beal Properties from Mr. Beal. In 2022, Terry moved the real estate office to 3363 University Drive E. Suite 215 in Bryan.
Terry has been blessed to be mentored by three men who have shaped his life, family, and workplace. Chief Douglas Landua hired him and helped to develop a 19-year-old boy into a young man. He taught him discipline, responsibility, respect, and the importance of teamwork. Most importantly, Chief Landua gave Terry the opportunity to make a difference every day at the fire department.
James Kolkhorst taught Terry how to be successful in business by providing a great product and excellent service to the customers. Not only did he deliver the product and service, but he cared and developed a relationship with his customers which led to a lasting trust.
Mike Beal allowed Terry to bring all of his fire department and business leadership skills to Beal Properties. More importantly, he instilled in Terry the importance of service to the community.
Today, Terry is the owner, broker, property manager, and the head of leasing and sales at Beal Properties. He manages over 500 properties, and he has developed lifelong relationships with many of his owners and HOA members. When he purchased the company, there were five HOAs. That number has now grown to over 40.
Responsibility. Integrity, Service. Accuracy. Community. Terry Thigpin strives to be the best management company in the Brazos Valley. Above all else, he wants to make a difference every single day.
